The full posting

Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking a Windows endpoint engineer to join our Enterprise Engineering team. In this role, you will help scale and automate HRT’s global Windows endpoint fleet, with a focus on improving platform reliability, reducing operational overhead, and delivering new endpoint capabilities. You will also contribute to the management and automation of our Windows server and Azure infrastructure.

The ideal candidate is a Microsoft technology engineer and an eager problem solver who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as a positive attitude towards team members and internal customers, are crucial to success within this role.

Responsibilities

  • Build and evolve HRT’s endpoint management platform, including device configuration, software deployment, policy enforcement, compliance, and lifecycle automation across our global Windows fleet
  • Automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of on-premises and cloud-hosted VDI environments, including HRT’s Citrix remote access platform
  • Leverage automation to identify and remediate technical inefficiencies across Windows endpoints, Windows infrastructure, and Microsoft Azure resources
  • Develop PowerShell-based systems to automate operational tasks and enhance the reliability of the Windows platform
  • Participate in ongoing engineering, maintenance, and support efforts to improve the Windows environment

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience as a Microsoft technology engineer, Microsoft infrastructure engineer, or similar role
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the Windows endpoint lifecycle using Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Microsoft Entra ID, and Active Directory
  • Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Windows 365 and/or Azure Virtual Desktop and Hyper-V based VDI
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Citrix platforms and Windows endpoints
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills, with experience developing automation and operational tools
  • A working knowledge of Windows Server, and Microsoft Azure
  • Familiarity with configuration-as-code, infrastructure-as-code, and monitoring tools
  • A design mindset that incorporates security best practices, business continuity, high availability, and scalability
  • A self-motivated and driven work ethic

The estimated base salary range for this position is 150,000 to 250,000 USD per year (or local equivalent). The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role will also be eligible for discretionary performance-based bonuses and a competitive benefits package.
