Network engineer role designing and operating high-availability, low-latency carrier-grade networks using BGP, EVPN, MPLS, and segment routing. The work includes building Go and Python automation for network config, deployment, and monitoring, and debugging production network failures across physical and virtual layers. Team works with hardware, protocol, and systems engineers at DoubleZero, a protocol for a global fiber network for high-performance data distribution.
We’re looking for a network engineer with a true CCIE-level routing & switching background who is equally comfortable writing production code. This is not a traditional NOC role — it’s for someone who treats networks as software systems.
